Dr. Todd Slusser is a board certified optometrist and has been practicing in Rupert since 1994. He graduated in the top 10 in his class at The Ohio State University College of Optometry and went on to complete the Cornea and Contact Lens Residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry. He is a Fellow in the American Academy of Optometry and serves as a regional representative on the Idaho Optometric Physicians board of directors. Patients are thankful for his attention to detail and willingness to go the extra mile. He is a member of the Fellowship of Christian Optometrists and enjoys volunteering on various eye mission trips. Dr. Slusser is a volunteer Ski Patroller at Pomerelle Ski Resort and a member of the Rupert Kiwanis Club. He participates in triathlons, rock climbing, and small-scale hay farming. Dr. Slusser is married and has been blessed with four great kids.
Dr. Elisabeth Lehr was born and raised in Eau Claire, WI. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry at Westminster College in Salt Lake City, UT where she was also a member of the US Women’s Ski Jumping Team and the Westminster Women’s Lacrosse Team. She earned her Doctorate of Optometry at the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, IL with Summa Cum Laude honors. She went on the complete a residency at the Illinois College of Optometry specializing in ocular disease and primary care. Dr. Lehr is a member of the American Academy of Optometry, and a member of the Fellowship of Christian Optometrists. She enjoys skiing, fishing, camping, rock climbing, and spending quality time with her husband Andy.
Norma has been with Family Vision & Eye Care since 1997. She has over 20 years of experience in the office dealing with the complexities of coding and insurance billing. Norma also speaks Spanish and was recognized at the Idaho Paraoptometric of the Year in 2006. She is involved with the youth at her church and spends time with her six grandchildren.
Kim has been with us since 2016. Fun and fashionable, she gets high marks for keeping our frame selections fresh. Kim stays up to date on the latest lens options. Her job is to make sure you are looking as good as you are seeing! She enjoys spending time with her “grandprincesses”.
Rachel has been with Family Vision & Eye Care since 2017. Sitting at the front desk, she is the first smiling face and cheerful voice that patients see and hear as they enter the office. Rachel works hard to schedule appointments, collect patient information, and take payments along with other various tasks. On her off time, she enjoys singing and playing music and often does so for local churches around the community. Rachel loves being a mother and grandmother and enjoys life to the fullest.
Thoughtful and attentive, Macey is responsible for ordering and verifying glasses and contacts and helps with testing and dispensing. We are thankful that she moved from part to full time in 2018. Her willingness and ability to learn anything we ask her to do is admirable. Macey is also a talented musician and dancer.
Bright and observant, Jackie joined our team in 2018. She has a background as a Certified Nursing Assistant and is responsible for gathering careful examination measurements and special testing. Her “can-do” attitude is appreciated, as is her ability to speak Spanish and her help in the front office. Jackie enjoys reading and listening to music.
Terry joined Family Vision & Eye Care in 2018. A strong work ethic and desire that things be done right the first time makes her a valuable asset. She ensures that patients get the most out of their insurance and vision benefits by creating error-free claims and allocations. She is married and is raising four terrific kids.
